$ By - G.B Shaw (Irish writer), Nobel prize in 1925, associated with Fabian Society.

$ Published in 1912, a romance in 5 acts .

$ It was performed in England in 2914, with Mrs. Patrick Campbell as Eliza Doolittle.

$ The play is a humour comedy about love, and the English class system.

$ Henry Higgins, a phonetician , accepts a bet that simply changing the speech of a Cockney flower seller he will be able in six months.

$Eliza undergoes gruelling training.

$ In the process , Eliza becomes a lovely young woman of sensitivity and taste.

$ Higgins dismisses her abruptly as a successfully completed experiments.

$ Eliza , who now belongs neither to the upper class, nor to a lower class rejects his dehumanising attitude.

$The play questions the class, who is a gentleman and who is a lady 

$ Satire on the pretentious upper class Society.
